A fellow feminist (actually more than one) once criticized me for not condeming porn saying 1% of women are raped in the industry - and did I want to go on record supporting that kind of rape machine?

I didn't respond, but wanted to say that the biggest rape machine in America is Hollywood.

This whole thing is just sickening to me. And that we STILL objectify women in film. And I think it IS a problem that should be called that male directors are putting 15 year old girls in wet bikinis. That's not okay. It's nice of her to defend someone for simply not full-on assaulting her, but still - it's about more than physical and sexual violence.
