A-fucking-men! You said it!

In the narratives about men wanting more sex than they are having, I NEVER hear them acknowledge that they are literally standing in their own way thanks to the way they treat sexually liberated women. (I.e. the slut-shaming.) I have men tell me all the time that I should have realized that I'd end up single in middle age because no man would ever want to marry a "filthy vagina" belonging to a woman who "rode men like a merry-go-round." These are the same men who complain that women aren't more sexually available and adventurous. Ummm...duh!

I also want to point out that I'm getting a little sick of how much media coverage I see on this so-called crisis of men having so little sex. Women have been having less sex than we want for decades. Whether it's the fact that we been shamed into suppressing our sexual needs and desires or the hormonal changes of middle age that can throw us for a loop, we haven't been able to have as much sex as we want, either. But does the media write dozens of articles about that? No, because women's sexuality is still not a priority, and we still perpetuate the myth that women don't like sex and don't want sex. All of which, btw, feeds right back into the issue of this phenomenon creating its own problems.

Anyways...excellent points, as always!
