A year or two ago, I wrote about an instance in my past when I had such bad allergies, I couldn't wear eye makeup (it irritated my eyes too much) and I was so scared at work that someone would confront me for coming to work looking "unprofessional." I got comments saying I was being ridiculous - that no one would ever comment on whether or not a woman wears makeup and that no woman has to wear makeup to work in order to be considered professional...well, this conversation around Anderson's makeup (or lack thereof) just prove my point. Anyone who says it's not a big deal is being disingenuous.

I still struggle with this. I only wear eyeliner now, but I still wish I felt comfortable wearing nothing, at all. OMG, I could say so much about this topic!
