Agreed. My last long-term partner did not take care of me when I was sick, so being coupled didn’t help me in that arena, at all. Hence, my opinion on this woman’s situation. However, our culture is brutal to single women — that’s why she feels uncomfortable. And I completely understand her feelings. We need to stop positioning single women as failures.
