But here's the question of the ages: ARE we high-maintenance? Or is the market rigged - and not in our favor? Is the world just expecting us to have super low standards? I have been asking myself that endlessly these past couple of years because I feel like I've been scraping the bottom of the barrel my whole, and criticized for not being grateful for what little is down there. But I'm a fine wine.

We wouldn't call a fine wine "high maintenance" - though that could certainly be said. We consider it a high value commodity. Something special. Why is it, when we're talking about women, that quality is instead seen as an inconvenience and a character flaw?

That's my long-winded way of arguing you out of calling yourself high-maintenance when really, you're royalty. <3
