Chloe, yes, it’s been an extremely helpful way for me to frame my perspective. When I want to say no but feel I can’t, need rest but think I shouldn’t, stay involved in questionable situations, I ask myself: What would I say to a daughter, if I had one? And then I say that to myself. ;) And it’s fantastic. It’s the first time I’ve felt I can give myself permission to take better care of myself.
