Ellen Nguyen I don’t know if Oprah counts, though she is amazingly independent! And yes, I get your point — there ARE a lot of women like that. But their stories are not the ones we see celebrated in movies and books and the media. You know what I mean? Most stories about women are about their journeys as girlfriends, wives, and mothers. We need to see MORE stories about single women, we need MORE examples of them.
