First of all, and I'm just going to be brutal here, but fuck any man who says we're paranoid for being afraid to say no to a man. FUCK THAT. About 65% of the men I've said no to have bullied me, harassed me, manipulated me, threatened me, or tried to physically coerce me. Men have NO FUCKING IDEA how it feels to know that just one simple word can affect us - or even destroy us.

Just about seven years ago, I said no to a 40-something man, a co-worker - no to DATE mind you, and yes, I was polite, not that that should matter - and he waited for me after hours, blocking my car with his in the deserted parking lot at night, and said, "I won't let you leave here until you go on a date with me." I was FUCKING TERRIFIED. And he did that all because I didn't want to have a drink with him.

Yeah, it really would be better for us to just stay home!
