He had become a born-again Christian at the end of our relationship, and the dogma he was learning played heavily into our undoing.

I am not angry at him — I have nothing left but compassion. I loved him once, a long time ago, enough to marry him and have kids with him, and if that’s so, I cannot take advantage of my platform to publicly tar and feather him. That love still means something to me, even if I no longer feel it, and it requires me to speak of him and our relationship with respect.

Further, I have no desire to publicly berate him. He’s just as entitled to royally fuck up as the rest of us…and to be forgiven. (Though that doesn’t mean I would welcome him back into my life under any circumstance.)

I have other things I want to use my fangs for. :)
