Hello! Thank you so much for coming to “visit.” I’m so thrilled to hear from Gateway women!!!

Thank you so much for sharing this perspective. I haven’t seen it in my own circle, but I am starting to hear from men every now and then who have encountered this. And it is helpful to know the extent to which this is happening.

One of my points there is to say that I don’t have even one male friend who would post something like this on Facebook. A lot of them who are dads will post photos of themselves with their kids and gush about how much they love their kids (which is awesome), but they never, ever talk about themselves as if they are elevated, somehow, by fatherhood, or more mature or whatever because they are fathers. And the male business owners and “thought leaders” I follow on Twitter and Instagram never post about how much more powerful and successful they are in business since they started having kids. You know what I mean?

But it’s very interesting to know that that’s the direction we’re moving in — that men ARE having these conversations, ARE employing this social hierarchy. Very, very interesting.

Again, thank you so much for sharing this. ❤
