Here’s my objection to it: Drooling over hot women isn’t a base instinct. For one thing, beauty is subjective. Our patriarchal culture decided what men should find sexy. Secondly, the hyper-sexualization of the female body is also conditioned. There are plenty of cultures that do not consider women’s breasts lewd, provocative, or overtly sexual. So Neo’s ogling is literally a function of the matrix he’s supposedly evolved enough to see beyond.
