I am glad you don’t have a sense of humor about it. Neither do I. And I don’t think we should. Because every time we make jokes about this shit, we invest in its power.

Also, I would LOVE to see us embrace all bodies whether folks are parents or not. No more “dad bod” or “mom bod.” What about the people who don’t have kids but who have stretch marks and poochy tummies? We’ll make an allowance for someone who presumably has “better things to do with their time” (i.e. raising children) and can’t make it to the gym, but what about the fact that we’re all just different? We ALL deserve a pass on this nonsense, whether we have kids or not.

(That last comment was just to make a point, btw, not to criticize you for bringing up those terms and points of view. I love EVERYTHING you wrote here and you are spot-on. ❤)
