I can see that you already know the difference between true goodness (if there is such a thing) and the kind of goodness so many men cling to as entitlement to a devoted wife, stable marriage, and abundant sex.
But you are misrepresenting my words by saying I don’t think the word “nice” can apply to men. I did not say that. I’m pointing out that many men use the terms “nice guy” and “good man” as a bargaining chip, without examining what niceness or goodness actually mean. Because neither of those things can exist when they are being used to get something in return. As you said, goodness comes without expectation.
