I could not agree more. This is about adults, not kids. I’m sorry to say that as my nephews get through each year of school in this very conservative town, they hear more and more things their friends say and I can see it affecting their views of the world. I don’t think they will change their minds — they have us, their very open-minded, accepting family members who insist that not everything revolves around the mainstream “norms,” but I can see them struggling to understand why so many of their friends think certain things are wrong. It’ll be an interesting journey as they grow into teenagers.
