I could not agree more about the upstream/downstream. I am stunned that we keep looking downstream so much. WHY are we, clever people that we supposedly are, NOT LOOKING UPSTREAM?????? I know it can be harder, scarier, more expensive, more challenging...but in the long run, it works. The payoff comes later.

Which is, perhaps, why we rely on the downstream solutions.
