I could not agree more that racism is deeply nuanced — a spectrum, even. And all your points are right on.

I apologize if this came off as hand-wringing. My only intention is to say: I was born white in a white supremacist culture and I acknowledge that this poison lives within me — now let’s get to work. Believe me, I’m not wasting time over my feelings about this. I’m trying to listen and take action, then repeat. :)
