I could write an essay in response to this thoughtful piece, but for the sake of time, I'll just say this: When I was a kid, my family took a lot of road trips around the US and frequently wandered into establishments where we were promptly kicked out. "No children allowed," an employee would say, and then usher us to the door. This happened anytime we were near the serving of alcohol or the presence of gambling. My parents never expressed annoyance, frustration, or anger about this. They understood that there are just some places where children don't belong. It didn't mean everyone in that building at that moment hated children. Honestly, the extremist assumptions that happen on social media are becoming quite alarming to me.
