I didn’t learn how to pronounce facade until I started taking French in high school! LOL. Thankfully, my classmates couldn’t pronounce it, either, so no one called me out! :) But yeah, I’ve had people do that and it sucks.

I don’t know what it is about this language thing, but it has felt like a portal of understanding has opened up in my mind. I don’t know that I’ll ever fully get to the other side — I think some travel might involved to do that — but it feels like I “get” it so much more now. It’s incredible.

And I’m having a lot of fun with Duolingo. Though I would like to expand my educational horizons with language study and branch out into other programs and resources. Just haven’t figured out what to try yet…
