I didn’t mean that to come off as naive — I’m a former high school teacher, so believe me, I get how much kids know about the world. I just meant that he has not lived a typical life of a pre-teen/teen due to a variety of factors that are too numerous to dive into here and has extremely protective, involved parents. It’s not that I think he hasn’t had ANY exposure to this stuff…but just he’s had so little and it’s made SUCH an impact. It’s scary.
