I do think, as a culture, that we cater to male sexuality and create narratives around it that excuse exploitative, predatory behavior. And therefore, circumstances like this become commonplace. I don’t think both genders would do this if we were able to “deprogram” from societal conditioning — but only because I think we wouldn’t need to. This behavior isn’t healthy or real, and if we could let go of patriarchal programing, I think we would see much healthier sexual behaviors flourishing across the board.
