I have been trying to get myself to believe in the concept of singleness as ordinary/normal/okay/just-as-happy-as-coupled for years and after my recent fling earlier this year that ended so, so badly, I FINALLY believe this. I have never been so chill being single - and so over having conversations about it with other people, as if I'm supposed to be "working on it." It still perpetuates the idea that once you are coupled, everything in life stops. You're fine. You're good. You've made it.
