I have read that estrogen, indeed, is a major factor in the “peacekeeping” tasks of culture. But having done a lot of research recently on pre-patriarchal cultures, I think that it was simply a tool preserving and maintaining social bonds in a very positive way. I think within the context of the patriarchy, this chemical proclivity is, you could say, used or works against us. In other words, it’s ultimately blameless and had a healthier, evolutionary purpose at one time.
