I just want to point out that it’s not an ultimatum — our culture uses that word in this context purely because of misogyny. A woman is working with a legitimate deadline, and as such, any insistence on working within that timeline is not an ultimatum — it’s just reality. (And I’m glad she pursued what she wanted and that it worked out for everyone!)
