I learned them from dysfunctional family patterns that caused me to endlessly critique my point of view and personal biases. I wish I could say this was a good thing, but it left me a little bit paralyzed as an adult, constantly in a spiral of self-criticism and questioning whether or not my perceptions are accurate. But…I guess you can’t have the good without the bad. :)
