I long to see this change — not just the banning of the female body, but men not being able to express anything but “pure” masculinity. I read JVN’s memoir a while ago and cried so hard when he talked about waking up to find “the other f word” written on his family’s garage door — over and over and over again. The way he read that part (I was listening to the audio version), so flippantly even in the pain of his recollection, broke my heart. ❤
