I looked into it further, and the only other option is to report it to the state, but as I was told, they only bounce the investigation to the agency in question. There are literally no external investigative processes overseeing this — though I’m sure if I got a lawyer and pushed harder, there would be! It’s pretty scary to realize how little oversight there is.
