I love your thoughts about it and I share them. I think what ultimately won me over was Bella, of course. I think she is an everywoman figure, someone we all remember being before we came to understand the world we lived in and how it minimized, objectified, and controlled us. She is, I suspect, what many of us would still be if that hadn’t happened. ❤
