I thought about that when I was writing this. It’s so crazy to me how often I hear that even raising an adoptive or foster child isn’t the same as biological love. I mean…damn. That’s just BS. I think this obsession with defining and attaching worth to biological mother’s love is absurd, not to mention damaging. There are so many types of mothers out there who are giving so much to their “kids” (biological or not)…why on earth are we so determined to diminish that? Crazy.
