I totally agree and I use childless because it describes my own situation. Most of my pitches are about just talking about the process of being childless by circumstance and working through the emotional journey of that as one gets into her forties. I usually include a mention of the fact that there are many other women without children who DID choose this and that their stories are important, too. But yes, I choose the language that reflect what I know because I write about what I know.

Either way — childfree or childless, we all have so many stories about how we got here and I for one want to hear them! I’m surprised publications are not understanding that our voices matter.
