I was a mentor for ten years and I enjoyed it very much. I was very, very involved with several kids and their families for a very long time. I was also a teacher for ten years and worked a lot with my students in afterschool programs and opportunities. I have given my whole adulthood to other people's children (which was beautiful and lovely and left me with no regrets), but now, in the absence of my own family, it's time for me to figure out what I want to do for myself. In other words, I think I need a break! LOL.

I'm so glad you have enjoyed mentoring as well - I wish more people would do it. We need that in our communities!
