I wish I could do better than this, but here we go: Be careful but do it anyways. Remember that every woman who speaks her truth is empowering another woman and another and another and that will attract criticism and even threats, sometimes…but again, do it anyways. Because our voices matter. Our stories matter.

Be as thick-skinned as you can. Make sure you have at least one other woman to whom you can turn when someone really lays into you. Be transparent on social media when you receive nasty comments. Let your readers love you through that. Let them support you. Let them remind you of why you are doing this in the first place.
