I’m all for hearing personalized stories about women who felt their capacity to love was greatly altered by childbirth and/or motherhood (knowing that it isn’t limited to biological motherhood).
I am particularly annoyed by this sentiment when it’s just about “love” in general. Like “you don’t know love until…” That’s so demeaning to me, as if people who haven’t given birth and don’t have kids are just wandering around, incapable of giving or even recognizing love. No. That’s BS.
