In your defense, it is SO much harder to do in person — for one thing, men like that will try to hide their behavior, forcing you to bring it into the open in order to confront it, unlike men on the internet who will enact their abuse right out in the open. Further, confronting it in person can be dangerous. No doubt you did the best you could in a terrifying situation that no woman should ever have to endure. ❤
