Okay, okay, I’m joking here. I had to lead with the exaggerated gravity of this issue because I’m going to take you on a journey that I hope leads us to a place where we can redefine (and better yet, rename) this so-called problem and take some of this drama out of it.

Let’s start in the middle-aged bedroom, a place with which I’m very familiar. How many times have I slept with a man over 40 who didn’t have a bit of an issue with his erection? Can you guess?

Zero, folks. Zero.

And how many times has this bothered me? Can you guess that one?

Also a big zero. It has never been an issue for me.

And I am starting to wonder if it should be considered an issue, at all.
