Isn’t it a comfort? I’ve been grateful parenthood didn’t work out with my ex, knowing since the day he left that my life would have been hell had that happened. But I’ve only recently realized that it wouldn’t have made ME happy, either. Motherhood cannot fill the hole of having lost one’s sealskin. ❤
