It’s so funny you said that. I didn’t mention this in the article for the sake of brevity, but here’s how the thought process goes:

1. Wish I had a husband to do crap for me that I don’t know how to do or am too scared to do.
2. Feel guilty for not being a strong woman.
3. Wonder why I assume guys are capable of doing all these things.

It’s such a gender stereotype thing. And, my last partner happened to be a whiz with all the home maintenance and car stuff and you know…traditional “guy stuff.” But it’s hilarious to me now because I’m playing right into the stereotypes.
