Marriage, if done “right” (meaning the way these gatekeepers want us to do it) keeps the systems of oppression churning along. That’s not to say I think marriage is bad. But there are always people out there who will want to continue to use it for what it was designed for. Someday, I hope enough people “redesign” marriage so that it becomes something they can’t use to manipulate us with.
