I actually hate the term "friend zone." I almost only hear it from men and it sounds very entitled, as if they are owed sex, somehow, and being "friend zoned" is a complaint that they didn't get what they assumed they deserved. To me, it's very rape culture-y.

Been wanting to write about this subject for a while now, but I probably shouldn't bother, since you said it all.
