Oh yeah — I’m not surprised. This certainly isn’t exclusive to men, but I’ve just seen it so prolifically happen in this way that it astounds me. With women (or men posing as women), I feel like they’re taking advantage of a different aspect of the power imbalances and playing the flirty young woman who, next thing you know, wants you to buy her some jewelry or pay her rent or whatever. Ugh.
