Oh yeah, there are little loopholes here and there. If you’re around kids a lot, then it’s sort of okay. I was a teacher for years and that seemed to buy me some street cred, so to speak. But yeah, in my personal life, it was still an issue for many. And now that I’m 45, there are so many old friends and certain extended family members who barely pay attention to me anymore and I feel like it’s because they just “gave up” on me. I didn’t follow the script and it bored them. Oh well!
