Part of my advocacy for this is simply in the interest of having a little knowledge of the female body — and not even for the benefit of sex. I mean, I can’t believe how many men in middle age think women pee from their vagina, don’t know what ovulation is, or don’t know the difference between a pad and a tampon. Men don’t have to be experts in women’s bodies, but these are such basic things.

I have such curiosity about men’s bodies that every time I have a sexual experience with a man, I will throw ten million questions at him in rapid succession. I always want to know exactly how a penis works (for all things) and what it’s like for that particular owner of one to experience life with that fascinating piece of anatomy. I have NEVER had a man exhibit that same curiosity about MY body.
