RIGHT ON! I hear this constantly and I am astounded by it. Does "as a mother" give someone more emotional validity? Does it make them more loving than another person? The statements that these three words tend to precede kinda blow my mind. Like...ummm, yeah, the rest of us feel that way, too! Hello!! Why do we have to have children to be able to have empathy and compassion?
