Saying “the death of a parent is really hard on women” doesn’t exclude men, at all! Excluding men would be: “The death of a parent is really hard on women, but not on men.” The original statement is simply focusing on a woman’s experience. It doesn’t imply ANYTHING about men. It’s just choosing to tell the story about women. With all due respect, you are the one making an assumption here.

Further, I have written extensively on men’s emotional depth and how much I want to support men’s emotional freedom in a culture that demands they repress it. I have written about this a lot very recently. So again, don’t come at me with assumptions that just because I’m a woman, I don’t “think [men] have much emotional depth.”

I never said that. I also never said that single women are the only ones who experience hardships. I have explained my meaning in depth in this piece and you still choose to believe that I don’t care about men. That’s on you.
