So I just saw an ad for lube that reinforced my feelings. It said something like, "When you want to have sex, grab this lube! It's fast and convenient and you can get right to it!" Right to it, meaning penis-in-vagina, because apparently, we are in SUCH a hurry. And again, I know not everyone uses lube for that purpose and even if they do, that's fine, of course, but I find the "hurry culture" around this lube narrative to be very troubling.
