That’s exactly my point. Having a husband or boyfriend is no guarantee that you’ll be taken care of. I was once violently ill when I lived with the man I thought I would marry and he never checked on me. I literally had to beg him to make me soup one night because I was so hungry and I couldn’t get up and he was so annoyed that I was interrupting his video game time. That’s why I say, let’s aim for community, not marriage!
