There is no easy answer, so far as I can see. You’re right about Patreon, though I do know some people who are bringing in $1K/mo. from that platform. I think ultimately, we have to keep moving toward owning our own work in our own spaces. Trying to grab people’s attention among thousands of voices is always going to be a challenge. But then the challenge becomes how to get people to want to follow us on our own platforms!
