This broke my heart. I remembered all the times I was assaulted or touched without my consent by boys in school and how I responded in defense - pushing them, yelling, running away, etc. And every damn time, the teacher yelled at me or gave me detention. NEVER ONCE did one of the boys get in trouble. Only I did. I imagine that was true for so many of us.
