This genuinely made me cry. So beautiful and so true. I think I'm unearthing so much pain from past relationships and having been shamed for my period, almost never touched by a lover on those days... I feel so sad. I wish I had walked away - because indeed, you are right that men who won't go near you when you're bleeding are not mature enough to be having sex - but I swear, I'd still be a virgin if I had. In all my years of dating, I never once came across a man who could handle a bleeding woman. And it just breaks my heart.
