This is lovely and right on. I always have the worry of power abuse in the back of my mind...just because I've seen it so often (though I'm talking about hetero relationships here), but as I've gotten older, I've tried to be very careful about not making assumptions about age differences, especially after I had a long relationship with a much younger man.

This also pointed out to me the hidden homophobia behind this kind of assumption, as well.
