This is one of those fine lines — sometimes it IS important to stand up and push back, especially when we have privilege that can make a difference. For instance, being white, I must use my voice to push back against racism. So there’s a lot more nuance to my thoughts on this than I could fit into this essay, but c’est la vie, right?
